Come Learn with Us on Wednesday, April 17th
Discover multiple case studies demonstrating how injection strategies customized to individual sites’ treatment areas resulted in the bioremediation of subsurface impact of petroleum and chlorinated solvents during the Battelle Bioremediation Symposium platform presentation –
Diversified Horizontal Injection Methods Effectively Deliver Amendments for Large Plume Coverage or Precise Target Areas Presenter: Mike Sequino
12:10 pm on Wednesday, April 17th
The platform presentation case studies include a discussion on how the Principal of Irwin Engineers, Andy Irwin, designed and installed gravity feed horizontal injection wells for cost-effective bio-amendment delivery. Additional horizontal injection case studies will demonstrate how injection strategies customized to individual sites’ treatment areas resulted in the bioremediation of subsurface impact of petroleum and chlorinated solvents in diverse geological settings.
Horizontal Biosparging of Jet Fuel Plumes within Glacial Deposits Expedites DoD Site Remediation (Group 2, Abstract Number: #457)
5:45 – 7 pm on Wednesday, April 17th
Later that day, the poster mentioned above will highlight how horizontal remediation wells were selected by Gaby Atik and Dave Forse with FPM Remediations to remediate soil and groundwater impacted by jet fuel releases. Learn why biosparging was chosen as the most cost-effective method to remediate this DOD Site. The success of this project resulted in the implementation of similar horizontal biosparging systems at other DOD sites across the country.
We look forward to seeing you at the platform and poster presentation!
