Presented in May 2012, at the Eighth International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds by AMEC Foster Wheeler and Directional Technologies, “Rapid Closure of Lingering Off-Site Plume Remediation Program in Residential Neighborhood using Horizontal Air Sparge and Soil Vapor Extraction Wells” details the use of successful horizontal wells to remediate at a historically challenged site in Tallahassee, FL.
The presentation is an updated version of a horizontal well installation and a remedial system which includes updated clean-up progress evaluation numbers. The Horizontal Remediation Well system effectively remediated the site within 18 months. The presentation takes you through the conceptual design and the horizontal well installation to the site closure.
